The 10th International Students Conference of Environment and Sustainability (ISCES), as well as Globe Environment Challenge Competition, hold by United Nations Environment Programme and Tongji University, was ended successfully on June 6, 2021. More than 1000 young students from over 100 universities worldwide took part in the conference and displayed their ideas.
Zahir Muhammad, a CSC student from Pakistan, with his other 5 Chinese teammates, emerged out of over 300 teams in the competition of Green Cities program, and won the third prize, their project name was Ecosystem Restoration and Green Cities.
Zahir Muhammad is a PhD student majoring in Environmental Chemistry of FNU. During the epidemic, he insisted on online learning, and finished his second year’s study. Meanwhile with the encouragement from his tutor, Professor Su Yuping, and the help of his classmates, he signed up the ISCES this year, and participate the group work online from Pakistan, His profession and enthusiasm played an important role in the project.
